Welch Library is co-sponsoring a publishing landscape seminar series with the Bloomberg School of Public Health. The first in the series is a talk by Jeffrey Beall, Associate Professor and Scholarly Communications Librarian at the University of Colorado – Denver, and well known for the Beall List.

Transforming Research Conference, Oct 12 & 13

This week, October 12 and 13, the Transforming Research Conference will be hosted here in Baltimore, on the Johns Hopkins University campus.

Anne Seymour, director of Welch Medical Library, is one of the organizers for the event, which is scheduled to be held in the Pre-Clinical Teaching Building, located adjacent to the Welch Library building.

Do medical schools still need books?

Though medical libraries are transitioning or have transitioned to digitization, print materials are still accessible.
