Adding comments on PubMed

You may or may not know that you can leave comments in PubMed.

You have to be an author of an article already in PubMed and you have to be registered in PubMed Commons (TIP: If you’ve had an NIH grant you may already be registered.) So, no anonymous and no pseudonymous comments.

And the Commons is not just for critiques and online discussions. You can amend and track your own articles, too. What else can you do:

·         add a link to supplementary materials you’ve posted elsewhere http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedcommons/faq/#linktooutside

·         link to other articles or sites http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedcommons/faq/#connectarticles

·         track who is commenting on your articles http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedcommons/faq/#someonecommented

Questions or comments about the Commons? Send them to the PubMed Help Desk.
