This month's additions to The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection include the release of a new series 'The Kidney in Health and Disease', edited by Professor Peter Kotanko. Within this series are lectures on two topics which have been highly requested; Professor Moin Saleem lectures on Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, whilst Professor Maurizio Salvadori discusses IgA nephropathy. There are also new lectures and updates added to several existing series, including the addition of a new lecture on X chromosome inactivation by Professor Neil Brockdorff, and the update of Professor Susan Gasser's lecture on gene silencing in budding yeast, both a part of the Epigenetics series.
The release also includes a talk by Dr Charles Loprinzi on 'Chemotherapy-induced neuropathy: incidence, natural history, measurement, prevention, and treatment' and a talk by Dr. Gregor Reid on 'Probiotics' which examines the evidence for beneficial microbes which have grown increasing popular in recent years.
